10 NEMT Conferences Worth Attending in 2026

nemt conferences

Most NEMT contracts don't start with a cold email. They start with a conversation between sessions, a card handed over at a booth, a demo booked because someone saw your software in person. If you want to grow this year, a handful of conferences belong on your calendar.

This guide sorts the events by who you're trying to reach rather than by a strict ranking. It's written for everyone with a stake in medical transportation: providers and brokers, the vendors who support them, and the health systems, senior care programs, and health plans working to get patients to care. Whether you're planning your first NEMT company or you run a hospital's transportation program, start with the group that matches your next move.

A few of the events below already happened earlier in 2026. They're still on the list with their next dates, so you can plan ahead instead of finding a dead link.

Core NEMT Conferences

These two events are built around the NEMT business, and they're the must-attend picks for transportation providers, brokers, and the vendors who serve them. They're also worth the trip for healthcare leaders working to fix patient transportation for their health plans or hospital systems. The rooms are full of people who move patients for a living.

nemt conference timeline

1. NEMTAC Transform

NEMTAC Transform is the only national conference built entirely around non-emergency medical transportation. NEMTAC is an ANSI-accredited standards developer, so the program leans into compliance, safety, technology, and payer relationships. You'll find owners and operations leaders, brokers, health plans, and state program staff in the same hallways. For most NEMT businesses, this is the first event to book. It's in Orlando in August. Come say hello at the RouteGenie booth 228.

2. Mobilize

Mobilize is The Transportation Alliance's annual convention, and it draws owners and managers from across private passenger transportation: taxi, limo, shuttle, paratransit, and NEMT. The sessions are practical and money-focused, covering insurance, driver management, risk, and business growth. There's an all-day claims prevention pre-conference for fleet owners. If you want a room that understands fleet economics rather than health policy, this is it. It's in Anaheim in late October.

PACE and Senior Care Conferences

PACE programs, adult day centers, and Area Agencies on Aging move a lot of people to medical appointments every day. If you run one of those programs, these are your events. If you provide transportation or software, they put you in front of the organizations that generate the trips.

3. National PACE Association Annual Conference

The NPA conference brings together the programs that deliver all-inclusive care for older adults, including their daily transportation. More than 1,200 people attend: PACE executives, care team members, finance leads, and organizations planning to launch a new program. Transportation is a standing operational headache for these groups, which makes it a strong room for a software conversation. It's in Denver in October.

4. NADSA National Conference

NADSA is the national conference for adult day services, and it's the only event focused solely on that model. Adult day centers coordinate transportation for participants every morning and afternoon, often on tight recurring routes. The audience is center owners, directors, and the vendors who support them. Software presence here is thin, which makes it easier to stand out. It's in Providence in early September.

5. USAging Annual Conference and Tradeshow

USAging is the largest gathering of Area Agencies on Aging, the local organizations that fund and coordinate rides for older adults. More than 1,400 attend, and transportation is one of the named program tracks. These agencies rarely operate their own fleets, so they lean on providers and technology partners. It's a good place to build local referral relationships. It's in San Diego in July.

Medicaid and Health Plans

NEMT is a Medicaid benefit, and the people who design that benefit, set the rates, and award the broker contracts show up at these events. If you work for a health plan, these are your rooms. If you sell to plans or brokers, you won't book many rides from a booth, but you'll learn how the money moves and meet the people who control it. If you're moving into brokering, watch these closely.

6. MHPA Annual Conference

The MHPA Annual Conference is the largest gathering of Medicaid managed care plans in the country. The program runs across access to care, complex care, and policy, with plan executives and state and federal officials in the room. For brokers and larger providers with a payer sales strategy, this is where the buyers are. It's in San Antonio in late September.

Sep 28–30, 2026 · Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk, TX · Event page · MHPA

7. NAMD Fall Conference

NAMD's Fall Conference is the main gathering of state Medicaid directors and their senior staff, with officials from every state, DC, and the territories. It's a policy and procurement event, not a networking floor for small providers. If you sell to states or follow contracting closely, the intelligence is worth the trip. It's in the Washington, DC area in October.

Oct 21–23, 2026 · Gaylord National Resort, National Harbor, MD · Event page · NAMD

8. ADvancing States HCBS Conference

The ADvancing States HCBS Conference focuses on home- and community-based services and long-term care, where transportation is a constant access problem. More than 1,700 state, federal, and local officials attend, along with the leaders who run Medicaid waiver programs. The exhibit hall has a dedicated technology area. This one is about policy intelligence and partnerships more than direct sales. It's in Baltimore in late August.

Transit and Coordinated Mobility

Public agencies buy and specify a lot of paratransit and coordinated transportation. If you run a transit or paratransit agency, these are your events. If you contract with them or sell technology, this is where the agencies, contractors, and suppliers meet. Two of the three already met earlier in 2026.

9. CTAA EXPO

CTAA EXPO covers community transportation: rural transit, paratransit, and NEMT, with about 1,000 attendees from transit agencies and their partners. The 2026 event wrapped in May in Omaha. The next EXPO moves to Atlantic City, New Jersey, with the National Roadeo kicking off June 7, 2027. It's worth watching if you contract with or operate rural and paratransit service.

10. APTA Mobility Conference

The APTA Mobility Conference is a bus and paratransit event with a strong vehicle and technology showcase, aimed at agencies, contractors, and suppliers. The 2026 edition ran in May in Salt Lake City. APTA runs it every spring, so the next one is expected April 18–21, 2027. It fits larger operators pursuing ADA and public transit contracts more than small local providers.

Honorable Mentions

Two more events didn't make the main list but earn a mention for specific readers.

AHIP Medicare, Medicaid, Duals and Commercial Markets Forum. This is a health insurance strategy event, held in Washington, DC each year. Transportation is a side topic, but duals and Medicare Advantage plans increasingly fund rides as a benefit. The 2026 forum ran in March. The next one is set for March 2 to 4, 2027, in Washington, DC. Useful for brokers and enterprise vendors selling to plans.

CALACT Mobility Transformed. A California-focused forum on ADA paratransit and on-demand transit, run with the Transportation Research Board. Its vendor speed-dating format pairs agencies with technology providers, which is unusual and useful if you sell software. For a California provider or vendor, it can outrank several national events. It's in Santa Rosa in November.

Before You Book

You don't need all ten. Pick the two or three rooms where your next contracts or partners actually are, then show up prepared to talk about real operations instead of handing out pens. And once those conversations turn into trips, RouteGenie can help keep scheduling, routing, and billing from buckling under the new volume.
